PRODUCT INFO

The John Dory are one of ten species that belong to the Zeidae
family. Originally, it was known as St. Peter Fish or St. Pierre who
was Jesus’ fisherman disciple. It is believed that the fish carried a
coin in its mouth to be used to pay the temple tax. When St. Peter
picked up the fish to retrieve the coin, he left his thumbprint on the
sides of the fish.

As coastal fish, they are found around the central and southern coast
of Australia. John Dory are trawled fish that are found in depths up
to 450 meters (approximately 15ft). They grow to a maximum size
of 2 feet and 7 pounds.

Species named after the Greek God Zeus.
